Eskin Fundraising Training Sponsors You Are What You Eat Forum On November 4th

Share your wisdom, experience and personal insights with a panel of experts on the universal subject that everyone makes every day on what they choose to eat.

There is nothing more universal to humankind than eating. This is a dialogue on how people from different socio-economic backgrounds can enjoy healthy, good tasting and affordable foods and beverages.”

— Jim Eskin

SAN ANTONIO, TX, UNITED STATES, October 29, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — As part of its ongoing live and virtual learning communities, Eskin Fundraising Training is presenting a live interactive Zoom-based You Are What You Eat Forum on Wednesday November 4th, 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM Central Time.

As way of background, there has never been as much attention devoted to the importance of diet, nutrition and healthy eating habits to enjoying better lives. The goal is to share much-needed factual information in a lay friendly style.

Participation is free but the audience must register here. Audience members are strongly encouraged to share the free invitation link with others including friends, neighbors and co-workers to promote a livelier and more inclusive dialogue.

“Knowledge is power especially when it comes to what we eat, drink and consume on a daily basis, “stated Jim Eskin, Founder, Eskin Fundraising Training, a national consulting firm based in San Antonio, Texas. “Experts will share the benefit of their best thinking on what everyone can do each and every to take the very best care of themselves,” Eskin continued.

Since its launch in 2018, programs have placed an unstinting emphasis on the learning community concept in which the notion is championed that no single person has all the answers, but everyone has wisdom, experience and personal insights that as a group can virtually answer any question and identify paths for moving forward.

A multi-disciplinary panel of subject matter experts providing a wide range of professional, personal and life perspectives will help lead discussion of this timely subject including chefs, nutritionists, physicians and academicians. Extra attention is being devoted to recruiting voices from several different cultures and countries to emphasize truly a global perspective.
During the open and candid discussion, the panel and audience will explore the following questions:

a. What did you have for dinner last night?
b. What was the rationale behind that decision?
c. How much of your decision making is guided by health and medical concerns?
d. Who do you rely on for guidance on what you should and shouldn’t eat?
e. Do you typically eat alone or with family and friends?
f. How much attention do you pay to monitoring calories, sugar, fat, cholesterol, sodium and other nutritional labels?
g. When do you choose to dine out and how often do you do so?
h. How much is inflation affecting your food decision making both when eating at home and dining out?
i. What is your so called “cheat food” and you completely disregard all other concerns and just eat something that you really enjoy?

For those unable to participate in the live broadcast, recordings will be available to watch on demand via social media posts, and Eskin Fundraising Training’s newest and boldest initiative yet — Lifetime Learning & Sharing Streaming TV Network (with the positioning statement of “Learn it. Live it. Share it.”) accessible via Roku and Amazon Fire.

According to Harvard Medical School, the five principles of a healthy diet include: Lots of plants foods; adequate protein; minimally processed foods; limited saturated fats, added sugars, and sodium, and balance and variety.
There is an urgency to improving the status quo. Roughly 70% of American adults are either overweight or obese. Breaking that down: about 31% of adults are overweight (Body Mass Index or BMI of 25 to 29.9), and another 40% have obesity (BMI of 30 or higher), based on national survey data from the Center for Disease Control. That means fewer than one in three American adults fall into what’s classified as a “healthy” weight range.

Eskin highlighted that consuming food is a shared routine of the more than eight billion people on the planet. In a multitude of ways our diet, habits, preferences and available resources are vastly different.

“Improving nutrition and dietary habits is one of the most profound ways we can improve the health of the American people and those around the world,” Eskin concluded.
