NEW YORK, Sept. 21, 2026 — On September 20, Beijing time, a promotional video for the 2026 World Manufacturing Convention appeared on the TSX screen in Times Square, New York. Located at the intersection of Broadway and Seventh Avenue, the screen stands at the heart of the landmark area known as the “Crossroads of the World.” The video’s appearance on the TSX screen gave more international audiences a direct and vivid introduction to the World Manufacturing Convention, further expanding the event’s global reach.
The 2026 World Manufacturing Convention opened in Hefei, Anhui Province, on September 20. Under the theme “Intelligent Manufacturing for a Better Future,” this year’s convention focuses on sectors including new energy vehicles, quantum technology and artificial intelligence. More than 2,000 guests from over 50 countries and regions are participating in the event, which features more than 15,000 exhibits.
Since its inaugural edition in 2018, the World Manufacturing Convention has been held for eight consecutive editions. As global attention turns to Anhui, a more open and dynamic province is using the convention as a window to showcase the strong momentum of China’s high-quality manufacturing development and to work with partners around the world toward a better future powered by intelligent manufacturing.
